Dudley Rutherford is senior pastor of 10,000-member Shepherd of the Hills Church in Southern California, with his lessons and commentaries broadcast on television, radio and the Internet. A third-generation preacher, he has a passion to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. He serves as vice-president of the North American Christian Convention, has been a Major League Baseball World Series chaplain and had the honor of speaking at UCLA legend John Wooden's memorial service. Dudley earned his Bachelor's Degree from Ozark Christian College and his Master's Degree in Church Growth from Hope International University. He also obtained an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from St. Charles University. On occasion, Dudley has been known to adapt his preaching voice by cheering for his beloved sports teams, the Oklahoma University Sooners, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the UCLA Bruins. It is at those times he believes in the soothing power of ice cream, golf, pumpkin pie, fishing and Mexican food - not necessarily in that order. Dudley and his beautiful and patient wife, Renee, and their three gifted children reside in Porter Ranch, California.
