H P Lovecraft

Howard Phillips Lovecraft (1890-1937) was born in Providence, Rhode Island, where he spent most of his life. His relatively small body of work--three novels and sixty short stories--has nevertheless exercised an incalculable influence on horror and supernatural fiction. Guillermo del Toro is a film director, producer, screenwriter, novelist, and designer. He is best known as the director of the Academy Award-winning film "Pan's Labyrinth" and the Hellboy franchise. His latest film, "Pacific Rim," premieres in the summer of 2013. He is also the foreword author to the Penguin Classics edition of "The White People and Other Weird Stories" by Arthur Machen.
