This is a startlingly original book with a most unlikely premise. Grace and her daughter Jenny are in intensive care in hospital after a fire at the local private school. Grace has suffered a terrible head injury; Jenny has been badly burnt. But a mother’s love knows no limitations so Jenny and Grace transcend their broken bodies to try to find out why the school was set alight and to try to heal each other. Part magic realism, part mystery - this is a gripping and powerful read and one that will keep you turning the pages right to the very end. Highly recommended - even though you have to take a leap of faith.

this sounds like a riveting read - I can't wait to give it a go! No doubt it will prove to be a tear jerker for me, as I am so very close to my mum and I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to go through an event as traumatic as the one Grace & Jenny have to endure.

I absolutely loved this book. The author has a neat way of grabbing your attention from the first chapter. I have also read 'Sisters" but would recommend this as a sure read.

I really want to read this now and it's not something I would normally have gone for, you know the old don't judge a book by it's cover thing!

Thanks Kerre, because of your review I did buy this book and enjoyed every minute of the read, it is unique and takes you on a journey with all the twists and turns but in an unusual setting, all books should need some magic and imagination to keep you reading. This one did.

It's probably not something I would have picked up of my own accord, but I think I find the review rather more convincing than the book description. Might just take a look
