Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is one of the most nerve tingling books I had read in a long time. It keep me on my toes and was a struggle to put down. This story made me both laugh and cry and best of all dragged me deep into its story line that I almost felt as if I was one of her living breathing characters.
This is a beautifully well written story for all ages and touches on the lengths one will go to, to protect her family and friends.
Now a major motion picture I highly recommend reading the book before watching the movie.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. But Katniss has been close to death before - and survival, for her, is second nature. "The Hunger Games" is a searing novel set in a future with unsettling parallels to our present. Welcome to the deadliest reality TV show ever...

Don't bother with this book
I found this book to be long and boring and I would not recommend it, let alone to teenagers who have short attention spans. All the hype has let this book down immensely. A huge disappointment.
