Mo Lawrence featured in Robertson's debut novel; this time she's the central character. A stroppy opinionated lawyer turned homemaker, Michelle loves her life as an American wife and mother. But her longsuffering gorgeous husband is about to turn her world upside down with a midlife crisis and, this time, Michelle can't bend him to her will. Her story is told in parallel with Aishe Herne, an even stroppier single mum to a teenage boy who is determined to keep herself safe from any emotional entanglements. But then her son's tutor falls for her, she finds her carefully constructed world beginning to crumble - and she can't allow that to happen. An earthy, authentic tale of love and loss, Robertson has built on her reputation as a writer of great romantic comedy.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Sweet Second Life of Darrell Kincaid. I'm hoping this will be just as good.

After attending a books and bubbles event which introduced me to Catherine Robertson and her debut novel (the sweet second life of Darrell Kincaird)which was really enjoyable I am looking forward to reading this.

I can't wait to read this book, I loved Catherines first one! I love it when authors use characters from previous novels, it's very comforting and adds to the history. Maeve Binchy does this very well. Can't wait to get my hands on it, thanks for reviewing it!

Sounds like a fantastic read - just what I need on these chilly winter nights - something to escape into in front of the fire. Will be popping along to Paper Plus tommorow to get nab myself a copy - thanks again for another great recommendation Kerre!

Another frustrating book. It's definitely not the worst book I've read but boy I struggled to keep going. After two 'okay' books, I can't say I'm in a rush to read a third.

The Not So Perfect Life

This sounds like one of those books that you can curl up in bed with a cuppa, esecially on these winter nights.
