The Reformed Vampire Support Group
By Catherine Jinks | Reviewed by Priscilla de Groen Hutchinson
This is a Vampire novel, however, if you are expecting something like “Twilight”, it is nothing like it. This novel holds vampires in a totally different light. Vampires are portrayed as being sick, fragile, bloodthirsty creatures. Jinks takes you along a believable, (though fantastical) journey of horror, heroism, humour and… well, more horror. It is set in Australia so it’s pretty easy to follow geographically. Personally I did not enjoy this book but people who enjoy horror stories or fictional creature books would enjoy this unique story. People who are fans of Lemony Snicket’s style of writing would also enjoy this book.
