oh for the days of my discount card

Anyone out there like me who has got absolutely no value out of The Big Deal card I now carry.  I'd say over the years on a monthly basis I'd purchase 2 or 3 books and roughly every 4 months I'd exchange my 10 stamp discount card for a substantial discount of my new months purchases. Roughly every 4 months i got a free book.

Now nothing.  There are no "specials" that apply to my tastes in reading. Lets say I'm the antithesis of Kerry  I would drool over books not bubble.

So just wondering if anyone else feels left out of the club.

Also, whilst it saddens me as its a much better stocked shop, my book addiction is forcing me to desert Paper plus and shop at  Whitcouls who will still give me a discount  on every book purchased.

I could stock up on jigsaws ready for the old peoples home which looms over my future but no doesn't leave me with any passionate urge to hurtle down to the local store.
