Changeling: Dark Moon
In this sequel to Changeling, we pick up where we left off, with Trey Laporte, the last hereditary werewolf, planning a mission to retrieve the only object that could heal his mortally wounded vampire mentor friend Alexa’s father, Lucien Charron. Only one problem. It’s at the top of a fortress in Iceland guarded by, amongst other things Lucien’s brother, dark vampire Caliban, an Icelandic Zombie, piranha bats, and the most powerful sorceress in history. Armed with just teeth, claws, magic and an automatic fireball launcher, Trey’s elite team set out to achieve this.
I really enjoyed this read, it had great fantasy action scenes, an in depth story, and it provided some more depth to the characters personalities, with Trey and Alexa starting to realise their feelings for each other, and facing up to their families disturbing past. I’d recommend this book to anyone aged 10+, because it’s a simple read, while having edge of your seat action.
