New Zealand has much to celebrate
when it comes to women in business
and leadership roles.
Joan shares her inspirational, personal
story from leaving high school at 16
and unassuming beginnings through to
management of New Zealand’s leading
media organisations. Joan has chaired
boards of our nation’s largest companies
and has been a vocal advocate for
women’s representation on boards and
equal pay. She presents her ideas on
how these issues can be addressed in
the work place and reflects on direct
experience of bias and inequality too.
Joan shares both personal and
professional experience, especially from
her role as CEO of Fairfax NZ. There are
helpful chapters giving advice about
working from home and achieving a
life-work balance written in an easy
conversational style.
