Adventures of a Young Naturalist

Whilst this famous scientific naturalist has featured in many books, this is the first time David’s life has been presented as a full and complete autobiography. The Zoo Quest Exhibitions captures the exciting life, adventures and travels of one of the most respected and popular ‘faces of nature’. “In 1954, a young David Attenborough was offered the opportunity of a lifetime – to travel the world finding rare and elusive animals for London Zoo’s collection and to film expeditions for the BBC for a new show called Zoo Quest” This fascinating book tells of his voyages, treks and meetings in far flung nations of the world. Local tribes, battles with cannibal fish, aggressive fauna along with treacherous terrain and adverse weather makes for gripping reading of a life lived well! Whilst David started out collecting for zoos, he has embraced the change in methods and still brings respect for the animals, environment and people. He has brought the inaccessible to us as viewers and I think we can all say we have learned so much from his remarkable adventures and broadcasting.
