Epic Hikes of the World

Lonely Planet produce quality travel guides and have moved more into the gift book range giving us a fabulous selection covering all the ways we travel, how and why. Epic Hikes of the World is the next in the series following Epic Drives of the World and Epic Bike Rides of the World. It’s full of enjoyable and engaging first person accounts of each hike – or tramping as we say in New Zealand! There’s insights into local history and culture and why the walk has made it onto the world stage. As we have come to expect from Lonely Planet, they too offer advice on how to get to these places, where to stay and what are the essentials you need to pack. Apart from the advice, this book is a lovely keepsake style that would be perfect for any fan of the great outdoors.
