Another beautiful children’s book from new Zealand boutique publishers gecko Press.
Vintage in style makes a change from highly coloured, busy illustrations that are dominant in many children’s books. We encourage children to read and we must, but we need to remember that children also need books that will just let them engage with pages – and this book does that. It’s a search-and-find maze book and helps your young reader to find their way through a complex visual image. each page has a little text but this will encourage the child that may find reading a little bit of a hurdle. Sometimes it is about handling a book, becoming familiar and taking away some ‘fear’ so this one’s a good, entertaining tool.
