Ruth Paul is a Wellington based author and illustrator with an impressive list of books that are favourites in store. This is the fi rst book in the new Little Hector series. It’s a cautionary tale about venturing too far but also a story highlighting you’re never too small to have big adventures, and being bigger requires a huge ocean where all sorts of new dangers lurk for someone who is small! Little Hector is just the right size for his part of the sea but he only fi nds this out after his daring adventure. A delightful picture book that includes seals, sting-rays, orca and the blue whale within our New Zealand sea to educate your little family members – along with a language rich tale.
