Low Tox Life

It’s ‘plastic-free-July’ and with more awareness of plastic wastage we are seeing a new range of books fi t for purpose. This is a useful handbook from an author who has taken a practical approach to live a ‘low tox life’ with the aim to educate us in four key areas; body, home, food and mind. Alexx has collated the latest scientifi c breakthroughs and advice from experts in the fi eld. ‘...Alexx tackles everything from endocrinedisruptors in beauty products to the challenge of going low plastic in a high plastic world, and how to clean without a hit of harmful toxins...” Her advice is to be “thoughtful and consider starting small, switching and ditching one nasty at a time and to enjoy the process as a positive for both yourself and the planet.” I love the practical recipes for cleaners, body lotions, potions and beauty products. It’s full of simple tips that can be applied easily to our busy lives. She is gently encouraging in her approach because she wants us to make the changes long lasting. “at the end of the day this is a bit like learning a new language - you’re not going to be fl uent in a week...” This book is a great place to start...
