Michael

Michael Hutchence was the lead vocalist in the Australian band INXS that hit stardom in the 1980s. However, his sister Tina was 12 years older than her brother so she writes from a unique vantage point having observed his life from the very beginning. She cared for him as their mother had to return to demanding work schedules and has always been a solid constant in his life. She writes an authentic, refl ective biography to share with us the infl uences, highs and lows of Michael’s life before his untimely sudden death at only 37 years old. Tina has given us the side of Michael that the public didn’t see and her intimate telling reveals a man who loved literature, poetry and pondering the deep philosophies of life but I’ll leave you to discover the pearls Tina shares. It’s refreshing to read a biography that wasn’t steeped in hype or controversy but instead an honest refl ection from a sister who missed her long-lost brother.
