Private Gardens of England

We have a beautiful new range of garden design books and have created an ‘essential library’ list to collect the absolute best gardening books. our resident expert lyn loves this book and shares her thoughts:
“A sumptuous book in both presentation and content worthy of the accolades received being a splendid display of both writing and photography.
This glorious portrait of just 35 gardens of personal perspectives from the owners of gardens that are not open to the public. All featured gardens are on a large scale, yet bring an astonishing sense of intimacy. Covering walled gardens through to modern interpretations of classic gardens. Each is a confirmation of gardening as art. The fundamentals of great design remain the same on 20 hectares or 20 metres.
I love the designs along with wonderful planting combinations and I will own this book forever and will read many times over.
Definitely a book to keep close and open when in need of inspiration and affirmation of the joy of gardening”
