See You in the Piazza

Perhaps you remember Under The Tuscan
Sun, Frances Mayes classic Italian travelogue –
here’s her new collection of tales. Crisscrossing
her beloved Italy with recipes to match, this is
the ideal Easter holiday read. Mayes takes us
beyond the iconic landmarks of The Roman
Forum, Leaning Tower and the Piazza San
Marco, to the Italy only the locals know and
it’s this travel narrative I love. It’s honest
and informative as Mayes and her husband
explore, backstreets, marketlife, cities and
towns alike.
Perhaps, like me, a trip to Italy is not on the
radar but the next best thing is to ‘arm-chairtravel’
via the pages of Mayes’ new offering.
Put your feet up this Easter to eat and drink
your way around Italy too!
