Seven Imperfect Rules of Elvira Carr

Staff member Sally recently enjoyed this book and gives us her review: “This is an absolutely delightful, heartwarming story. Elvira is a little different... her mother dies and this is the story of Elvira learning to navigate the real world on her own. If you loved Eleanor Oliphant then you will love this too.” Elvira Carr is twenty seven and is neurotypical, her father has passed away and she spends her time at home with her ever-watchful mother. However, after her mother’s passing, she sets about adjusting to life in the real world. For self-assurance, Elvira puts together a list of seven rules to help her navigate the world. A mystery weaves its way through the story too as Elvira discovers her father had secrets and lived a life of lies...she’s set to unravel the mystery.
