Shelter in Place

I’ve never known a ‘dud’ Nora Roberts, she has an amazing ability to craft an engaging tale that aren’t formulaic nor limited to one genre. She is the mistress of reinvention and always produces a quality read for her loyal followers. Staff member Kalli is an absolute fan and has recently devoured Nora’s latest release – here’s her review: “This new book from Nora kicks off straight away with a shooting in a mall in the USA...it’s gripping from the first page! Simone and her friends are at the mall and become caught up in the terrorist attack. Heroic actions abound and reflexes respond to the incident. The scene is set and the story pushes forward six years focussing on Simone and her circle of friends. They’re trying to live as survivors – to rise above the trauma, false-guilt and sorrow. BUT, there is one out to seek revenge and their lives are in danger again... If you’re a Nora fan then this will NOT disappoint. From all of Nora’s titles, this is her best stand-alone novel I have read. It is contemporary, deals with topical issues of gun-reform and it’s fast paced!” They escaped, they survived...but for how long? When the shots rang out in the shopping mall, Simone Knox knew what to do – ‘shelter in place’, something her father has taught her.
