Dwayne is a rumble-tumble tabby cat who knows where he belongs - up on the farm at Muzzle Station.

So, when he's taken to live far away in the town of Kaikoura, what's a cat to do? Shake the dust off his paws and start walking, of course!

The trouble is, home is a very long way away . .... read more

Cat from Muzzle

‘Dwayne is a real cat who made an epic,
ve week journey from Kaikoura all the way
back to his home on the remote Muzzle
Station in Southern Marlborough! We can
only imagine what he did and who he met
– but we know he must have gone over the
Seaward Kaikoura Range, where the lowest
saddle is 1300 metres, as well as crossing the
Clarence River. Was it worth it? You bet!
Home Sweet Home”
Dwayne wasn’t too impressed when he
was relocated to a town far away from his
familiar territory – this is a fabulous new
read-aloud tale for families to enjoy from
New Zealand author Sally Sutton and vibrant
art work from Scott Tulloch. Somehow I think
this is going to become a family favourite and
we all love a courageous, plucky cat on an
adventure!
