The Force

The tentacles of corruption reach into every corner of this compelling and sweeping novel set in post 9/11 New York. It is brutal, unrelenting and, most disturbingly, all too believable. And it is asks a fundamental question - are there any boundaries beyond which self-interest will not take us?

This not just another story about cops, it is a very good story about good cops gone bad doing good. The main character Malone is crooked, as are his fellow law enforcement colleagues, but you just cannot help liking them. Highly descriptive with lots of action and really you have to finish it (jumping to the last couple of pages will not help) to find out the end result.
