Heart's Invisible Furies

According to young Cyril's adoptive parents he is not a "real" Avery. Struggling with his illegitimacy, his homesexuality, and a very unusual home life, Cyril spends a lifetime getting to know himself. Both funny and poignant, and set in the often brutal world of mid-century Irish Catholicism, this is a memorable story of a life, a time, and a place.
