How to Escape from Prison

I’ve had the privilege of hearing Wellington
based Dr Paul Wood speak several years ago at a
conference. He has truly completed a u-turn in life
and testifies to the stepping stones he had to walk
in order to attain change. It is possible to embrace
a transformational process and this is his story.
“At 18, Paul Wood thought he had lost
everything. He had committed an act that would
send him to prison for many years…plunged into
a nightmare world of extreme violence, solitary
confinement, gang allegiances, drugs, vindictive
wardens and regular stabbings, Paul spent 11 years
confined in some of New Zealand’s toughest jails.
Paul scribed his experiences whilst in jail and
now he shares his road to redemption and into
a new life as a doctor of psychology, helping
others fulfill their potential, develop resilience and
flourish in the face of adversity.”
